As we have dicussed in the previous article, Backgammon is a casino game of ability and good luck. The aim is to move your chips carefully around the game board to your inner board while at the same time your opposition shifts their chips toward their inner board in the opposite direction. With opposing player checkers moving in opposite directions there is going to be conflict and the requirement for specific techniques at specific instances. Here are the last two Backgammon strategies to complete your game.
The Priming Game Strategy
If the goal of the blocking tactic is to slow down the opponent to move her pieces, the Priming Game strategy is to completely stop any movement of the opponent by assembling a prime – ideally 6 points in a row. The opponent’s checkers will either get bumped, or result a bad position if he ever tries to leave the wall. The ambush of the prime can be established anywhere between point two and point 11 in your board. Once you have successfully built the prime to block the activity of the competitor, your competitor doesn’t even get to toss the dice, that means you move your pieces and roll the dice yet again. You’ll win the game for sure.
The Back Game Tactic
The aims of the Back Game plan and the Blocking Game strategy are similar – to hurt your competitor’s positions in hope to improve your odds of succeeding, however the Back Game plan relies on alternate techniques to do that. The Back Game strategy is frequently employed when you are far behind your competitor. To participate in Backgammon with this plan, you need to control 2 or more points in table, and to hit a blot late in the game. This tactic is more challenging than others to play in Backgammon because it needs careful movement of your checkers and how the chips are relocated is partly the result of the dice toss.
